what is real..

Thinking over the comparisons of Dream, Fantasy and Reality. Where does the line get drawn? With the words of "If you can dream it you can achieve it" being spoken from the peanut gallery just what can be achieved and what should be just let go to history and memory? A dream is something that can be changed into a goal and a goal a reality..but fantasy? Dare we dream?

Dream...
1.A succession of images, thoughts, or emotions passing through the mind during sleep.
2.The sleeping state in which this occurs.
3.An object seen in a dream.
4.An involuntary vision occurring to a person when awake.
5.A vision voluntarily indulged in while awake; daydream; reverie.
6.An aspiration; goal; aim.
7.A wild or vain fancy.
8.Something of an unreal beauty, charm, or excellence.

Fantasy...
1.Imagination, esp. when extravagant and unrestrained.
2.The forming of mental images, esp. wondrous or strange fancies; imaginative conceptualizing.
3.A mental image, esp. when unreal or fantastic; vision: a nightmare fantasy.
4.Psychology. an imagined or conjured up sequence fulfilling a psychological need; daydream.
5.A hallucination.
6.A supposition based on no solid foundation; visionary idea; illusion: dreams of Utopias and similar fantasies.
7.Caprice; whim.
8.An ingenious or fanciful thought, design, or invention.

Reality...

1.The state or quality of being real.
2.Resemblance to what is real.
3.A real thing or fact.
4.Real things, facts, or events taken as a whole; state of affairs: the reality of the business world; vacationing to escape reality.
5.Philosophy.
a.Something that exists independently of ideas concerning it.
b.Something that exists independently of all other things and from which all other things derive.
6.Something that is real.
7.Something that constitutes a real or actual thing, as distinguished from something that is merely apparent.

Can a fantasy become a dream and eventually become ones reality? (and still be sane in the process?) -;-)

Wanting that special person in your life. Dream? Fantasy Reality? Loving someone and BEING in love with them. Plenty of people love their significant other but are they still in love? Can that be maintained in a marriage or is the spark lost to everyday concerns and stress? I loved someone and remember what it was like to be in love with them. Looking forward to the time they would walk in the door, maybe a little glance across the room full of people, a gentle caress as they passed by, or just to come snuggle with you and no words spoken no words need to convey the feeling between you. A "dream" in today's hustle and bustle world? A "fantasy" as it doesn't exist anymore and I expect to much? A "reality" as it does exist and takes loving care and hard work everyday to keep it and strong and renewed? If it doesn't exist may I stay single for the rest of my days. but it does as I have held it in my arms. Something so precious is very very rare and I let it go. I said goodbye. but it does exist and one day Gods grace will smile upon me when he bids me ready for such..

Until then I must wait and endure. But the reward is far greater than I could ever hope for.
